Generally speaking, backing up is undoubtedly one of the most important and yet most neglected functions, not only in connection with the ISPadmin system, but virtually in the entire sphere of activities dependent on the control software.
The ISPadmin system allows you to perform backups on several levels to achieve the effective and rapid backup of the most needed parts of the Provider´s Internet network and it provides the options to restore the system from the available backup (e.g. if the hardware fails). The system restore is then achieved in tens of minutes, which can be crucial for a company that provides connectivity to households and businesses, if the system suddenly fails.
| System ensures
It contains a differential or full system backup, such as data, graphs, scripts, router backup, etc.
MySQL database backups
It contains a differential or full MySQL database system backup.
Although the backup process is fully automated and implemented at a specified time, the system also enables individual backups at a different time period, using a command in the server.
To save space in a data storage system there are differential or incremental backups in the system, which detect changes made since the last data backup and thus only the data that have been changed since the last backup are used for the current backup.
Moreover, the ISPadmin system makes it possible to define your own directories where backups will be stored, and in order to increase data protection, it is also possible to set sending backups to another data storage using FTP.
The files that are backed up can be encrypted for the reasons of security of data stored, and thus unwanted disclosure of any confidential data can be prevented, if the data backed up (e.g. in a remote storage) are approached by an unauthorized person.
System Restore can then be made as either complete or only partial of the system parts that are required at the moment to be restored from the available backups.
