The optimal and reliable performance of servers does not end with their installation and configuration. The operation of servers and other net elements is necessary to monitor continuously and to optimize their performance. On that ground the system ISP admin incorporates the monitoring and visualization system Nagios, which automatically monitors particular net elements (routers, servers, UPS,…). Nagios also monitors the services, which run in them. Thanks to this system you may respond to any possible net difficulties or demands for setting changes very quickly. The administration server can be connected to a hardware SMS gate (e.g. SIEMENS TC35), by way of which it is possible to send notifications on drop-outs. The setting system may be used to set the notification SMS groups and assign them to any router or equipment. Then each notification is shipped directly via SMS gate. Thereby the immediate delivery is assured to recipients even in the case of the Internet connection drop - out. We are working now on totaly new realtime monitoring module based on network overview integrated in GoogleMaps!
